Blueberry Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Evergreen - keeps its leaves all year round)

This small fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 20 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, crooked trunk covered in fine, silky, silver bark, and inside, the dense wood is burgundy-brown.

The small clumps of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, very narrow and elongated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally dark grey.

In early spring, it produces many small, violet blossoms with long, tapering petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like warm cookies.

In late autumn it produces small, oval fruit. The smooth aquamarine skin is tough and sweet, and the crunchy sky blue flesh is sour and very juicy. The dark grey seed is small and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
