Orange Moss

This orange moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In bogs, On trees, and On rotten logs.
It is large, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is very sturdy; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores.
