Amberpetal
Flower type: Annual (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This big flower grows up to 2.2 feet (66 cm) tall. Its yellow stem is very thin and straight, and the large, gray leaves are wispy with smooth edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.
Lots of medium-sized flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 14 cm (5.5 inches) wide, with petals that are orange on the edges and amber at the center. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of raised narrow petals. They are sturdy.
It has an intensely strong scent that smells like damp, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
