Creamgrass

This small, brown grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in thin clumps that are light and frail.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, cream tuft.

During the late autumn, it produces an average amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
