Copper

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 16 feet (4.9 meters) tall. The very thin stem is green, and is covered in thick sheets of fine, orange, hair-like spines. The finger-like leaves are copper and turquoise. Small bunches of them grow on very thick, caramel or blood red branches that are long and thin. The leaves are delicate, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are turquoise on the edges and muted purple at the center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with 17 tightly layered narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like a woman.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the silver flesh is leathery, and the violet sap is thin.
