Orange Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small creeper is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 15 feet (4.6 meters) and growing as high as 119 feet (36.3 meters).

It takes 2 months for the orange stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The thick, sticky leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are solid green with aquamarine dots, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a thick sheet of large purple flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces lots of small seed pods.


It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
