Blueberry Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 74 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in hard, ridged, brown and grey bark, and inside, the very light wood is gray.

The abundance of branches are very long and thin and are covered with large amounts of miniature, teardrop-shaped leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are light brown and slate.

In early spring, it produces several medium-sized, sky blue blossoms with 8 crescent-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a faint scent that smells like soap.

In late summer it produces small, long, curved fruit. The clammy olive skin is stretchy and inedible, and the slightly crunchy crimson flesh is sweet and bitter and powdery. The grey seeds are tiny and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It can survive a long time without water.
The entire plant is edible and the grains areslightly sweet.
