Caramel

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 137 feet (41.8 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is burgundy, and is covered in many fine, caramel, hair-like spines. The rounded-edged, stiff, pointed leaves are blood red on the edges and turquoise at the center. Thick bunches of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 2, then 4, then 6, and so on. The leaves are strong, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 19 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of deep blue and indigo, with an amber central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like bleach.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the orange flesh is rubbery, and the aquamarine sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.
