Crimson Petal Flower

Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)

This giant flower grows up to 15.8 feet (4.8 meters) tall. Its silver stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the giant, gray-green leaves are very narrow and elongated with ripped edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Each stem splits 3 to 6 times; a single giant flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 134 cm (52.8 inches) wide, with petals that are bronze on the edges and crimson at the center. The flower head is made up of 4 petals in raised layers. They are very delicate.

It has a powerful scent that smells like onion, and it has copious amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
