Magenta Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 20 feet (6.1 meters) and growing as high as 139 feet (42.4 meters).

It takes 3 months for the magenta stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are rough and fibrous.

The 2 pointed, rough leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are found in beige, green and blue varieties, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of large bronze flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of tiny seed pods.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It coexists peacefully with other plants.
It is bio-luminescent.
