Burgundy Creeper

This large creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 498 feet (151.8 meters) and growing as high as 139 feet (42.4 meters).

It takes 4 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 10 inches (25 cm) and are rough and woody.

The fan-like, sticky leaves reach up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length. They are a shade of green that gradient shifts to crimson at the top, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces clusters of average copper flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of small seed pods.
