Crimson Vine

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 40 feet (12.2 meters) and growing as high as 81 feet (24.7 meters).

It takes 10 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The 6 pointed, crispy leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are grey at the bottom and dark brown with pink zig-zags at the top, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the vine produces several giant crimson flowers.
