Burgundy Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This giant tree grows up to 113 meters (370.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 181 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, curved trunk covered in very thick, cracked, burgundy bark, and inside, the very hard wood is copper-coloured.

The excessive amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with small amounts of covered in fine hairs, huge, thin leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are beige on the sides and amber at the center.

In late summer it forms giant, cream, shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
