Coppergrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This big, copper grass grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The circular stalks grow in thin clumps that are rigid and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, olive tail.

During the mid-summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of medium-sized grains.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It can flourish even in standing water.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
