Blueberry

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 33 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several sturdy, angular stems covered in thick, wrinkled, gray bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches are very short, thin and wispy that and are covered with sparse amounts of tiny, needle-like, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are brown at the bottom and blue with purple lines at the top, light and fuzzy.

In late summer it produces lots of large, white blossoms with many layers of petals. They fall easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like roses.

In late autumn small slender, 8 pointed fruits ripen. The fuzzy vibrant yellow skin is delicate and edible when roasted; it is sweet and savoury, and the soft grey flesh is sweet and spicy and very dry. The light grey seed is large and sits at the end of the fruit.
