Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In damp forests, and In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly flimsy; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores.
