Indigo vine

This huge vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,148 feet (654.7 meters) and growing as high as 471 feet (143.6 meters).

It takes 29 years for the caramel and yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 3.9 feet (1.2 meters) and are thick and twisted.

The fan-like, smooth leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are black at the bottom and red with indigo edges at the top, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the vine produces several tiny black flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a few very large fruits.
