Copperbell

This large caudiciform grows up to 82 feet (25.0 meters) tall. The wispy stem is pink-red, and is dotted with small orange spines. It has a wavy, round, orange trunk atop a round block of cracked, exposed roots. The branches are very thick and beige or ashy purple and trail down towards the ground.

The smooth-edged, very thick leaves are blood red on the sides and copper at the center. They are hardy, and easily come away when pulled.

It is fast growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with olive petals on the lower layer and red petals decorated with deep green dots on the inner layer. The central disk is slate grow at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is shaped like a cup made up of 20 raised, narrow petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like petrol.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the lilac flesh is slimy, and the amber sap is thin.
