Blue Rose Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 21 feet (6.4 meters) tall. The narrow stem is sky blue, and is covered in brittle blood red spines. The serrated-edged, finger-like leaves are found in gentle blue and purple varieties. Very large amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are rigid, and do not detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with pale orange petals that gradient shift to lilac on the outer edge. The central disk is green, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 35 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. It has a strong scent that smells like musk.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the purple flesh is waxy, and the olive sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.


It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
