Greyfern

Moss type: Moss

This grey and cream moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On rotten logs.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly flimsy; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It commonly grows in large patches.
