Clinging Turquoise Vine

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This giant flower grows up to 16.0 feet (4.9 meters) tall. Its burgundy stem is wispy and straight with a curved tip, and the miniature, orange-yellow leaves are broad, flat with rounded edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 40 cm (15.7 inches) wide, with yellow petals on the lower layer and turquoise petals decorated with cyan dots on the inner layer. The central disk is sky blue. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 petals. They detach easily.

It has an intense scent that smells like vanilla, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

Several parts of the fruit tree have medicinal properties.
It can survive a very long time without water.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
