Ivybloom

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) tall. Its brown or blue stems grow in bunches of 4 and are wispy with a curved tip, and the giant, moss green leaves are circular with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Each stem splits 4 to 8 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of bronze. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 5 tightly layered, narrow petals. They are sturdy.

It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like pineapple, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
Ivy often grows along the trunk.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
