Amber

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized cactus grows up to 69 feet (21.0 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 4 pleated stems. Each stem is silver, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid amber spines. The mushroom-shaped body is emerald, and is dotted with small vivid orange spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are white at the sides and brown at the center grows at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 curved petals. It has an intense scent that smells like varnish.

The cactus's skin is thick, the silver flesh is sticky, and the dark grey sap is thin.
