Copper Fruit Tree

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 30 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, slanted trunk covered in hard, knobbly, silver and white bark, and inside, the flexible wood is copper-coloured.

The thin clumps of branches are very long and thick and are covered with very large amounts of large, crescent-shaped leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are gold and olive.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of giant, sky blue blossoms with flame-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like old books.

In early winter it produces , perforated fruit. The rubbery gold skin is tough and inedible, and the crunchy slate flesh is sweet and dry. The lime seed is very large and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
