Mirrortree

This modest-sized tree grows up to 57 meters (187.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 217 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in thin, waxy, dark brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale brown-grey.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with very large amounts of crispy, small, pleated leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are either intense yellow or bold red, with grey edges.

In early spring, it produces many clusters of large, yellow blossoms with 5 cylindrical shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a fairly strong scent that smells like something putrid.

In late summer it forms giant, caramel, shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
