Copperwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2436 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, wonky trunk covered in hard, smooth, yellow bark, and inside, the flexible wood is copper-coloured.

The excessive amount of branches are very short, thin and wispy, with hundreds of twigs covered with sparse amounts of tiny, moss green needles. The needles themselves are pliable.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, grey seed pods.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.

It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
