Burgundyvine

This average-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 30 feet (9.1 meters) and growing as high as 572 feet (174.3 meters).

It takes 13 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are rough and woody.

The sickle shaped, crispy leaves reach up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) in length. They are slate on the sides and copper at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces several tiny dark grey flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of large fruits.
