Black Moss

This black or caramel moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In rainforests, In rainy mountain ranges, and On rotten logs.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is extremely delicate; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
