Clinging Bluebell

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 170 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many very thick, angular stems covered in thin, smooth, brown bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches are very short and thick with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of small, long, narrow, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are bold blue at the bottom and red with gold patches at the top, resistant and fuzzy.

It produces thousands of tiny, washed-out orange flowers with asymmetrical petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a powerful scent that smells like sweat. In late summer it forms tinybrown berries.

It is suitable for making paper
It commonly grows in large patches.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
