Coppervine

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 159 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, curved stems covered in wrinkled, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright that and are covered with handfuls of small, very narrow and elongated, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are emerald with green tips, durable and covered in fine hairs.

In mid-summer it produces thousands of small, beige flowers with broad, flat petals. They detach easily and have a faint scent that smells like freshly baked bread.
