Coniara Fruit Tree

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 47 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, twisting trunk covered in thick, smooth, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale brown.

The sparse amount of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with handfuls of miniature, very thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are grey and lime.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of tiny, bold blue blossoms with cylindrical petals. They are very delicate and have an intense scent that smells like an ocean breeze.

In mid-autumn it produces , spherical fruit. The fuzzy caramel skin is thin and sweet, and the very soft sky blue flesh is sweet and powdery. The olive seeds are tiny and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
