Ambervine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 12 feet (3.7 meters) and growing as high as 19 feet (5.8 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 7 months for the orange-yellow and hazel stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and slick.

The long, narrow, sticky leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are either dark brown or amber, with brown dots, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several large lilac flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces lots of tiny berries.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
