Copper Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This colossal vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,314 feet (705.3 meters) and growing as high as 987 feet (300.8 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 18 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2.3 feet (71 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The needle-like, fuzzy leaves reach up to 3.5 feet (1.1 meters) in length. They are found in lime, cyan and orange varieties, and have smooth edges.

It is often home to a particular bird species.
