Brown Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In marshes, and In damp forests.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very frail; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
