Caramel Succulent

This short leaf succulent grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The thin stem is emerald, and is dotted with small caramel spines. The slender leaves are found in sky blue, red and caramel varieties. Sparse amounts of them grow on narrow, gray branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are flimsy, but do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with beige petals on the lower layer and sky blue petals decorated with violet dots on the inner layer. The central disk is bold green grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 58 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has no scent.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the orange flesh is rubbery, and the sky blue sap is thin.
