Ashy Orange

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized tree grows up to 13 meters (42.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 650 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, slanted trunk covered in hard, cracked, brown bark, and inside, the very dense wood is black with white speckles.

The excessive amount of branches are short stubs and are covered with thick bunches of clammy, giant, 9 pointed leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are ashy orange and peach.

In late summer it forms giant, slate, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
