Copperleaf

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 76 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several long and flexible, straight stems covered in knobbly, silver and white bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches are very short, thin and wispy that and are covered with sparse amounts of large, finger-like, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either grey, or copper with caramel edges, pliable and fuzzy.

It produces many clusters of tiny, amber flowers with slender, pointed petals. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like coffee. In early autumn it forms tinyolive, winged seeds that float and land far away.
