Indigo Succulent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 27 feet (8.2 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is moss green, and is dotted with small olive spines. The rounded leaves are a shade of burgundy that gradient shifts to indigo at the top. Very large amounts of them grow on thick, yellow-green branches that are very short, thin and wispy. The leaves are frail, and take little effort to detach.
It is quick growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with alternating petals of cyan and yellow, with an aquamarine central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 55 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like leather.
The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the indigo flesh is rough, and the purple sap is thin.
Both the grass and the grains are sour and very toxic.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
