Silvergrass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This large, silver grass grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The perforated stalks grow in thin clumps that are flexible and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, silver flower.
During the early winter, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of tiny grains.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
