Emerald

This gray moss is commonly found blanketing large areas On rotten logs, In damp forests, and In rainforests.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very frail.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
