Crimson Vine

This small vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 9 feet (2.7 meters)0.

It takes 3 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and woody.

The wispy, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are black on the sides and crimson at the center, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the vine produces handfuls of small crimson flowers.
