Bluebell

This small flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the small, emerald leaves are perforated with ripped edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Many medium-sized flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with petals that are sky blue in the center, aquamarine in the middle and brown at the edges. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet made up of handfuls of raised, round-tipped petals. They are hardy.

It has a strong scent that smells like rotting meat, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by a small species of bird.
