Sunset

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This enormous flower grows up to 13.8 feet (4.2 meters) tall. Its orange-yellow stems grow in bunches of 3 and are thin with a curved tip, and the small, red leaves are light yellow on the underside and are fan-like with serrated edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 102 cm (40.2 inches) wide, with petals that are lime in the center, violet in the middle and beige at the edges. The flower head is shaped like a cube with 46 raised, narrow petals. They are sturdy.

It has a weak scent that smells like a newborn baby, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
