Caramel Spike Succulent

This large leaf succulent grows up to 78 feet (23.8 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is faded purple, and is covered in copious amounts of flexible caramel spines. The stocky leaves are green on the sides and brown at the center. Small amounts of them grow on wide, caramel or blue branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are rigid, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 21 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with each petal a slightly different shade of crimson grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 55 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like soap.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the lilac flesh is rough, and the indigo sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
