Amber Puff Grass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized, gray-green grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The wide stalks grow in large clumps that are strong and tough and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, amber puff.
During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of large grains.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
