Copperleaf

This small leaf succulent grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in thousands of fine, black, hair-like spines. The bubbly leaves are cream with aquamarine tips. Copious amounts of them grow on round, copper branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are tough, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with pastel purple petals and a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has a powerful scent that smells like burning wood.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the crimson flesh is sticky, and the bronze sap is thin.
