Caramelactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is emerald, and is covered in handfuls of rigid caramel spines. The tear-shaped body is orange, and is covered in lots of fine, white, hair-like spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are olive on the underside and copper on the top, grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 13 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like garlic.

The cactus's skin is thin, the crimson flesh is leathery, and the azure sap is thin.

It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
Several parts of the tree have medicinal properties.
