Silverbell

This huge shrub grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall and lives for around 63 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has several knobbly, straight stems covered in fine, knobbly, gray bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, long, tapering, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are generally silver, flimsy and smooth.

In late spring it produces handfuls of giant, yellow flowers with stiff, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like misty mornings.
