Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This large vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 89 feet (27.1 meters) and growing as high as 93 feet (28.3 meters).

It takes 17 months for the light orange or caramel stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1.7 feet (51 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The thin, clammy leaves reach up to 2.1 feet (64 cm) in length. They are found in bronze and dark purple varieties, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the vine produces a thick sheet of tiny pink flowers.
