Crimson Vine

This short vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 21 feet (6.4 meters) and growing as high as 104 feet (31.7 meters).

It takes 4 months for the yellow-green or orange stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are tough and woody.

The slender, pointed, fuzzy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are cream and brown, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the vine produces copious amounts of large silver flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of small berries.
